🌿 Our Team & What We Bring to the Table

When a mom comes into Promises, she deserves more than a bed. She deserves a team. We built this home with people who show up, support, guide, and help mothers rebuild their lives with structure, compassion, and stability. Everything we do is centered around healing, recovery, and reunification.

Clinical Support

We work with a licensed clinical partner who brings trauma-informed guidance to the entire program. Moms get connected to therapy that fits their needs — PTSD, anxiety, grief, parenting stress, and early recovery emotions — so they aren’t navigating trauma or DHS demands on their own.
Our clinical oversight keeps the program ethical, steady, and aligned with best practices for family-centered recovery.

Qualified Behavioral Health Assistants (QBHAs)

Our QBHAs are present throughout the week providing the hands-on support moms need to stay grounded and consistent. They help with:

  • emotional regulation

  • crisis support and grounding

  • parenting routines and structure

  • weekly goals and accountability

  • building daily habits that make sobriety sustainable

They’re the steady, judgment-free people moms can turn to on hard days.

Staff On Site

There is always someone here.
Whether a mom is preparing for court, overwhelmed after a visit, or having a moment where everything feels heavy, staff step in with calm guidance and support. No one has to go through breakdowns or big emotions alone.

Random Lab UAs Twice a Week

We don’t use dip tests. All UAs and BAs are lab-verified and done randomly twice a week.
This builds:

  • real accountability

  • trust with DHS and the courts

  • safety for every mother in the home

Accountability should empower moms — not shame them — and our testing model reflects that.

A Structured, Predictable Program

Stability comes from routine, so our program includes:

  • daily expectations

  • curfews and household structure

  • chores and responsibilities

  • twice-weekly groups

  • skills sessions

  • weekly goals

  • parenting support

  • our level system: Rise → Thrive → Empower

This structure helps moms stay focused, grounded, and ready for reunification.

OHR Certified (Formerly CARR)

Promises is a Colorado OHR Level II Recovery Residence, which means we meet the state’s standards for safety, ethics, and trauma-informed care. Our certification ensures a high level of accountability and gives caseworkers, courts, and treatment providers confidence in our program.
