How We Started

Promises Sober Living was founded in 2021 by Natalie Frizzell, a Certified Peer Recovery Coach and mother in recovery who saw a gap in Colorado’s recovery landscape — safe, family-centered housing for women healing from addiction while rebuilding life with their children.

At Promises, we believe recovery is not just about staying sober — it’s about restoring families, rebuilding self-worth, and creating sustainable change. Our trauma-informed program blends real-life structure with compassion, offering both recovery and clinical support in one place.

With a licensed clinician, dedicated staff, and peer mentors, Promises provides an environment where women can heal, grow, and learn to parent from a place of stability and love. We work closely with DHS, case managers, and treatment teams to advocate for mothers navigating complex systems — because no one should have to recover alone.
